What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location, verify authorized access, issue and collect visitor or contractor credentials, and maintain access records.
- Observe vehicle, pedestrian, and delivery activity at gates, docks, and restricted areas; communicate access concerns or unusual activity to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established reporting procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter; document observations and report security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
