Job Description

As a Security Officer - Utility Site Patrol in Gibsonton, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, providing exceptional customer service, and communicating clearly with staff and visitors. This post requires driving as part of your duties. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter of the utility location, helping to deter unwanted activity and observing for any unusual conditions.
• Maintain awareness of the surroundings and report any suspicious activity or hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with AU Driver Policy requirements.
• Florida Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
