As an Access Control Officer at a utilities location, you will manage access points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and help maintain an orderly environment for employees and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and support security-related operations with integrity and teamwork. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.40 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility‑services location.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, including reviewing identification, visitor logs, and contractor documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Control access to restricted areas by issuing, collecting, and documenting credentials, keys, badges, and/or visitor passes as assigned.
• Respond to access‑control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
