Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Amarillo, TX. This part-time role involves patrolling a busy retail location, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a visible security presence to deter incidents.

You will drive as part of a team, comply with driver policy requirements, and work a schedule including Fridays and Saturdays. A valid license and a background check are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license; Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles; High school diploma or equivalent; Background check required by law; Drug screen required; Driver’s license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and responses.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the retail location, including sales areas, entrances and parking lots.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, policy violations, and other security concerns to site leaders.
• Assist with access control, incident documentation, and coordination with law enforcement when needed.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter zones.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, policy violations, and other security-related concerns to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, incident documentation, and coordination with law enforcement or emergency responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
