As a Security Officer in an educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control, and provide professional customer service to students, staff, and visitors. This primarily driving post requires a valid driver's license and offers the opportunity to help maintain a welcoming, secure environment while representing Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.95 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of academic buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, assisting with visitor direction and supporting a welcoming learning environment.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Unified driver policy requirements.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Unified will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
