Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in Los Indios, TX to monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter security incidents, and provide excellent customer service. You will communicate with visitors and staff, follow site procedures, and support a welcoming environment.

Minimum requirements include being 18+ for unarmed roles, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check may be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required.

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, escalating information to appropriate contacts or emergency services.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas to identify and report unusual activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, maintaining logs and incident documentation.
• Contribute to a professional workplace by offering directions and communicating respectfully with site personnel.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $13.92 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information to appropriate contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior work areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Support a professional workplace environment by providing directions, reporting maintenance or security-related concerns, and communicating respectfully with diverse site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
