Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) to protect clients in a technology, media and telecommunications setting in Los Indios, TX. You will patrol, monitor access, and provide courteous customer service while reporting concerns and following site policies.

The role emphasizes a professional demeanor, strong teamwork, and the ability to respond effectively to incidents. Schedule includes Saturdays and Sundays, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with a pay rate of $13.92 per hour.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as per federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors and vendors at a tech/telecom location by following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior/exterior areas, deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access, verify visitor/contractor credentials, and maintain logs and documentation.
• Respond calmly to incidents and alarms, communicate observations to leadership, and escalate as directed.
• Support a professional environment by giving directions and reporting maintenance or security concerns.

• Sun: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, access points, parking areas, and the business perimeter, reporting unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor credentials in accordance with site procedures, and maintain required logs and documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and elevate concerns to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts as directed.
• Support a professional workplace environment by providing directions, answering routine questions, and reporting maintenance, access control, and other security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
