Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer (Part Time) in Minneapolis, MN. You will monitor a commercial real estate site, provide friendly customer service, and maintain a visible security presence. Shift schedule is DayTime with 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM windows.

Pay rate is $19.90 per hour. Minimum 6 months security experience is required, along with a High School diploma, background check, drug screen, and licensing as applicable. Join a team that values integrity and service.

Qualifications

• 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by following site procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents and tenant concerns in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular patrols of building areas, parking facilities, and exterior grounds.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management per site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance-related concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
