Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Site Coverage in Reston, VA to monitor and safeguard clients across financial institutions and other facilities. You will provide friendly, professional customer service, perform site-specific security procedures, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents.

The role offers full-time hours, a daytime schedule Monday through Friday, and a pay rate of $20.60 per hour.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency-response activities.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entry points, parking areas, ATM areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity; report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. What You'll Do:
