Allied Universal in Durham, NC is seeking a part-time Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Incident Prevention to safeguard patients, visitors, and staff in a healthcare setting. You will monitor, patrol, and respond to incidents with professional calm while adhering to site policies.

The role offers part-time shifts on Saturdays and Sundays from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with pay of $20.46 per hour, plus benefits and opportunities through our Shift platform. Equal opportunity employer.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, professional manner and coordinate with site personnel and responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions, and report any unusual conditions.
• Document incidents and patrol activities clearly and hand off information to leadership.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.46 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate site personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with directions and reporting unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and provide clear handoff information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
