Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, invites you to join as a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver in Big Island, VA. You will safeguard clients, conduct patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents while providing excellent customer service.

This full-time role requires a valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or equivalent, with background checks and drug screening as per policy.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation will be conducted as per laws.
• Criminal histories will be considered in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen will be conducted as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors following site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of manufacturing/industrial sites, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access, verify visitor/contractor authorization per procedures, and document entries.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies, notifying contacts and responders.
• Observe hazards and report policy violations or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver in Big Island, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points and alarm activity, and help to deter security-related incidents. This driving position requires a valid driver's license. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial buildings, production areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain required entry and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Observe and report potential hazards, equipment concerns, policy violations, and suspicious activity to appropriate personnel while supporting a professional environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
