Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Access Control Driver in Big Island, VA to protect clients across manufacturing and industrial settings. You will perform routine patrols, monitor access points, verify credentials, and respond to incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

This full-time, unarmed position emphasizes teamwork, communication, and a visible presence to deter incidents.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks and drug screening will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor credentials, and document entries, exits, and unusual observations in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs for Allied Universal and site management.

As a Security Officer Patrol Access Control Driver in Big Island, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, respond to security-related concerns, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
