Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver in Albuquerque, NM. You will provide customer service, conduct patrols, and support welcoming environment for visitors and staff while upholding Allied Universal’s values.

Position is full-time with a pay rate of $17.00 per hour. A valid driver’s license is required; background check and drug testing may be conducted as part of employment.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation will be conducted as per laws.
• Drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of facilities, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at government locations.
• Respond to incidents, public concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned facilities, parking areas, public access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; report suspicious behavior, hazards, property concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and communications.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
