Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Patrol Documentation Security Officer in Bessemer, AL. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, document observations, and deliver courteous customer service using tablet tools.

Requirements include 18+ years, a high school diploma, background check, and drug screening. Schedule: Fri–Sun nights with a $16.33/hour pay rate.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures.
• Conduct regular/ random foot and/or vehicle patrols of loading areas, parking areas, facility entrances, trailers, and perimeter to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers per site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly following procedures.
• Document patrol activities, observations, incidents, and concerns in reports and communicate to site leadership.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.33 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of loading areas, parking areas, facility entrances, trailers, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Document patrol activities, observations, incidents, and security-related concerns in required reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
