Job Description

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol - Biotech Location in Muskegon, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer in a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, assisting with access control, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. You will contribute to a positive environment by acting with integrity, working collaboratively with your team, and putting people first in every interaction.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.73 / Hour

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the chemical or petrochemical business and its perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards within the facility.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site policies.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
