Allied Universal in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer to patrol and protect our technology-focused site. You will provide customer service, conduct patrols, monitor entrances, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

The role requires at least a high school diploma, a background check, drug screen, and valid driver’s license where applicable. This is a full-time position with a pay rate of $19.50/hour.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual activity and facility issues.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; direct guests and communicate access-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow site protocols, notifying appropriate contacts.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, and observations.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, access concerns, and facility issues.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; assist with directing guests and communicating access-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate contacts.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, and security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
