Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Unarmed) for a TWIC site in Richmond, VA. You will provide safety, deter incidents, manage access, and deliver excellent customer service in a variety of government-related settings.

Qualifications

• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of port facilities, buildings, waterfront areas, parking areas, gates, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, permits, and vehicle authorizations in accordance with site procedures; document and report discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and maintain communication with Allied Universal leadership, site representatives, and public-service personnel as required.

What You'll Do:
