Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an unarmed Security Officer for the Tempe, AZ area. You will patrol, monitor access, and provide excellent customer service at a financial institution, ensuring a secure environment for employees and visitors.

Day-to-day duties include responding to incidents, conducting patrols, and maintaining accurate documentation while communicating professionally with staff and leadership. This position offers full-time hours and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and clients at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, business areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, observing visitor activity, and maintaining accurate visitor, incident, and patrol documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security observations, incidents, and service needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
