Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Day Patrol in Independence, KY. You will safeguard clients, conduct routine patrols, deter incidents, and deliver excellent customer service while upholding site policies and corporate standards.

This full-time position requires 18+ years of age, a high school diploma or equivalent, and successful completion of background checks and drug screening where allowed. Training and advancement opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation per applicable laws.
• Background checks will be considered in compliance with laws.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

As a Security Officer Unarmed Day Patrolin Independence, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and report observations while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, package handling concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, docks, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized personnel and visitors in accordance with site policies, and report unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns through required reports and communication channels.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
