Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Front Desk Security Officer in Charlottesville, VA. You will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor security, and provide exceptional customer service at a technology/telecom site.

Minimum requirements include an active DoD Top Secret clearance and a high school diploma. Background checks, a drug screen, and licensing requirements may apply; 18+ (unarmed) / 21+ (armed) as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly following emergency protocols.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a front desk within a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Manage visitor access by greeting guests, verifying identification and appointments, issuing visitor credentials, and directing individuals in accordance with established site requirements.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and security-related systems from the front desk, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response activities and communication protocols.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, access records, and incident documentation while providing professional support to client representatives and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active Department of Defense Top Secret clearance.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
