POSITION SUMMARY :

Provides direct security and related public services.

Compensation : Full-time and flex positions available at $X an hour at Kingwood Medical Center

Responsibilities

Our Healthcare Security Officers are responsible for maintaining the security and safety of the hospital, its staff, and its patients and visitors, serving as a visible deterrent to illegal activities on hospital property. They also provide supervision for at-risk patients in the hospital environment.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Completed High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications
• Strong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift, move or lift objects up to X lbs., help restrain or lift a person
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet HSS a Tarian company driving guidelines if applicable (for Driving Roles).

Desired Qualification of the Security Officer :

• Previous work experience with the public in a service setting

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a full-time position. Work hours will vary depending on client schedules, project deadlines, and the needs of the company. Workweeks may exceed standard hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. The environment may be fast-paced and stressful.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will spend approximately X% of the time sitting and X% of the time walking or sitting; use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; and occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to X pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus. The role involves mental concentration, analysis, and formulation.
