Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer in Corpus Christi, TX. You will provide customer service, enforce access control at a chemical/petrochemical site, and maintain security records. The role offers flexible scheduling and a pathway to growth within a respected security company.

Qualifications

• TWIC credential required or eligible
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet
• State/municipal security license preferred
• Access control or badge experience preferred
• Customer service experience preferred
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles; background check and drug screen required

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, processing visitors and contractors, maintaining entry records, and communicating access concerns to site contacts.
• Screen incoming and outgoing vehicles, coordinate gate access for deliveries, and document activity per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, facility grounds, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, processing visitors and contractors, maintaining entry records, and communicating access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Screen incoming and outgoing vehicles as directed, coordinate gate access for deliveries, and document relevant activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Possess a state, county, or city-issued security-related license, preferred.
• Have access control or badge experience, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
