Job summary

DSI Security Services in Decatur, Alabama seeks a dedicated security officer to maintain safety through visible presence and routine patrols. You will observe and report hazards, follow client instructions, and interact professionally with clients and the public.

Requirements include 18+, high school diploma, valid driver’s license, reliable transport, basic computer skills, and strong written and verbal communication. On-site position with vision and medical insurance benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Reliable transportation and means of communication.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, patrol and exert physical effort in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Observe, report, and respond to hazards, incidents, and suspicious activity.
• Follow DSI policies, client requirements, and post-specific instructions.
• Interact professionally with clients, visitors, employees, and the public.
• Complete required reports and documentation accurately and timely.
• Participate in training and comply with DSI safety procedures and manuals.

• Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods and perform frequent walking, standing, and movement throughout the shift, including routine patrols and moderate physical activity in all weather conditions.
