Job summary

Allied Universal in Denver is seeking a Security Officer - Transportation Hub to safeguard transit facilities and serve passengers. You will patrol, monitor access, deter incidents, and provide courteous assistance to riders, staff and visitors.

The role requires customer service experience and a state or local security license is preferred. CPR/First Aid certification, computer or tablet comfort, and the ability to lift 20 pounds are also preferred.

As a Security Officer - Transportation Hub in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer in a public transportation setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to passengers, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or transit personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas and assist with directing authorized personnel, visitors, and contractors in accordance with location procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
