Qualifications

• Three+ years of law enforcement, military, or security experience, or a college degree.
• Ability to lift over 20 pounds preferred.
• Guard Card or license preferred.
• X-ray screening experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Age: 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct entry-point screening in accordance with established procedures, identifying prohibited items and referring concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorized access for individuals entering controlled areas; maintain accurate visitor and screening-related records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
