Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer X Ray Threat Detection in West Palm Beach, FL. You will safeguard clients across industries, operate screening equipment, monitor access points, and help identify prohibited items while delivering professional customer service.

The role requires 3+ years of security-related experience (or a college degree), X-ray screening experience preferred, and the ability to lift over 20 lbs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and the public while carrying out site-specific screening procedures and security policies at a government facility.
• Screen individuals and belongings using screening equipment and established procedures, identifying prohibited items for follow-up.
• Verify identification, credentials, and access authorization before entry to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and document activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, entry points, and perimeter to deter unauthorized access and report unusual conditions.

As a Security Officer X Ray Threat Detection in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener supporting a government location, you will operate screening equipment, monitor access points, and help identify prohibited items or potential security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and staff, and support a welcoming, orderly environment. Pay Rate: $19.85 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat: 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific screening procedures and security-related policies at a government facility.
• Screen individuals and their belongings using assigned screening equipment and established procedures, identifying prohibited or unauthorized items for appropriate follow-up.
• Verify identification, credentials, and access authorization before permitting entry to restricted areas, following applicable post orders and escalation protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
