• Monitor access points and verify credentials and shipping documentation for entry to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents and maintain calm, problem-solving demeanor while reporting observations to site personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas and perimeter; conditions may vary by location.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Threat Detection in Indianapolis, IN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

Job Schedule: Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, screening protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.


• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and property entering or leaving the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established procedures.


• Monitor access points and verify credentials, shipping documentation, and authorization for entry to restricted areas.


• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner and report observations to appropriate site personnel.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, access points, and the surrounding business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• X-Ray Screening Experience is preferred.


• Loss Prevention experience is preferred.


• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs. is preferred.


• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.


• Customer Service Experience is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
