As a Security Officer - Telecom Site Patrol - Overnight Shift in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading technology location, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by conducting regular patrols and remaining highly visible throughout the premises. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents and foster a welcoming atmosphere for employees, visitors, and guests. You will interact with a diverse group of people, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to various situations as they arise. This position offers the opportunity to utilize your experience in security-related roles, as well as your comfort with technology such as alarm panels and computers or tablets. What You’ll Do

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
  
  

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help maintain a secure environment within the tech and media location.
• Document observations and incidents according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or vendors as needed while on patrol.
• Remain alert to unusual activity or conditions that may require additional attention or response.

Minimum Requirements

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
