Justice Grown in Chicago is seeking a Lead Security Officer to oversee facility security, surveillance operations, incident response, transportation oversight, and team support across our cannabis operations.

The role emphasizes leadership, timely decision‑making, and mentoring Security Officers, with shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays to ensure safety, compliance, and a professional work environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Law Enforcement and/or Public Safety experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Associate degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check under cannabis regulations.
• Flexibility to support operational and scheduling needs as required.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and secure company facilities and access points.
• Monitor surveillance systems and investigate irregular activity.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations.
• Complete detailed incident reporting and documentation.
• Assist with secure transportation and compliance procedures.
• Collaborate with leadership, Human Resources, and local authorities when necessary.
• Train and mentor Security Officers on best practices and procedures.
• Help maintain a professional, respectful, and team‑oriented environment.
