Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Taser Officer - Full Time in Englewood, CO to protect hospital premises and staff. Responsibilities include patrols, de-escalation, patient transport to the morgue if needed, and rapid response to incidents.

Prior security or healthcare exposure is preferred; high school diploma or GED required; a valid driver’s license may be needed for some posts. The position offers full-time hours with competitive benefits, and opportunities for career growth

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of hospital grounds on foot or in vehicle; document observations.
• Assist hospital staff with de-escalation of situations involving patients; restrain combative individuals as necessary.
• Transport patients to the morgue, as needed.
• Escort patients from helicopter pad to the emergency room.
• Assist with evacuations during emergencies and disasters.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department when needed.
• Monitor entrances and exits; ensure only authorized entry.
• Observe departing personnel to protect property; log activities.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents and incidents; maintain logs.

As a Security Officer - Taser Officer - Full Time in Englewood, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

Schedules:

• Full Time:
  • Saturday through Wednesday, 06:00 -1400
• Flex:
  • Assigned one shift a week minimum
  • Ability to pick up more shifts on a weekly basis based around your schedule!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform security patrols of hospital grounds on foot or in vehicle; document detailed observations of unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Assist hospital staff with de-escalation of situations involving patients; restrain combative individuals as necessary (within company and customer guidelines)
• Transport patients to the morgue, as needed
• Assist in escorting patients from helicopter pad (high elevation) to the emergency room
• Assist with evacuations during fires, medical emergencies, and natural disasters
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits; ensure only authorized individuals enter and exit the hospital, and that no contraband or hospital items are brought in or out
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

• 1 year of security experience preferred, but not required
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
• Healthcare/Hospital experience preferred, but not required
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must have a verifiable high school diploma or GED, as well as 3 years of verifiable work history (recent)
• Must be comfortable with transporting deceased patients to the morgue, restraining combative patients, and receiving vaccines (MMR, Varicella, Tdap)
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

• Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
• Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
• Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
• A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
• Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
