Job summary

Ocean Downs Casino, located near Ocean City, MD, invites you to join our overnight security team on a full-time, year-round basis. We offer medical, paid time off, holiday pay, and 401k options. Swing shift pay is $16.50 per hour.

Responsibilities include maintaining guest, employee, and property safety while enforcing regulations, procedures, and professional conduct. A valid Maryland security license is required.

Qualifications

• Prior security experience preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license per policy.
• Ability to read/write/speak English sufficiently to perform duties.
• Must obtain Maryland State Lottery Agency license.
• Customer service and guest relations mindset is important.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vigilance to ensure guest, employee and property safety.
• Maintain professional demeanor at all times.
• Enforce state lottery regulations, internal controls, and company policies.
• Enforce security procedures at posts.
• Assist in transferring monies between areas.
• Patrol grounds in security vehicle as assigned.
• Promote outstanding customer relations.
• Promote trust and honesty among team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY

Exciting opportunity to work at Ocean Downs Casino only 10 minutes from the beautiful beaches and boardwalk of Ocean City, MD! ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain a constant vigilance to ensure the safety of guests, employees and property.
• Responsible for maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Enforce and adhere to State Lottery Regulations, Internal Controls and company Policies & Procedures.
• Responsible for enforcing security procedures at all assigned posts.
• Assists in the transfer of monies from one area to another.
• Patrol grounds in security vehicle as assigned.
• Promotes outstanding customer relations.
• Promotes honesty and trust amongst the team.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Previous Security experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required and must meet the requirements of company Motor Vehicle Policy.
• Ability to read, write, speak, understand or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the necessary functions of this position.
• Ability to consistently comprehend, retain and execute written, verbal and demonstrated directions, explanations and guidance.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and effectively communicate with guests, co-workers and management.
• Must be able to obtain and keep a License issued by the Maryland State Lottery Agency required of all Gaming Establishment employees.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diplome or Equivalent Required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

• Must be able to lift fifty (50) lbs. without difficulty, repeatedly.
• Must be able to sit, walk or stand for extended periods of time without difficulty.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which includes days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
