A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Security Officer to ensure the safety of patients and staff at their facility. The role involves patrolling hospital grounds, responding to incidents, and maintaining a secure environment. The Security Officer provides a valuable resource of information and service for patients, visitors, and staff at the hospital. At all times, the officer must display a professional, helpful, and positive attitude when dealing with all internal and external customers. Additionally, the officer is responsible for performing security duties, responding to all security alerts, fires, and disasters (e.g., Disasters Levels I, II, III, and IV). The core responsibility is to protect staff, visitors, patients, and property according to policy and procedures.
The individual must meet specific physical requirements, including sitting, standing, and walking up to eight hours per day, with breaks. Must handle and grip equipment firmly, occasionally lift objects over 200 pounds with assistance, and perform bending, crouching, reaching, and other movements. Hearing should be sufficient for normal conversation; vision must include general, color, and depth perception.
High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) required, or a minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience in lieu of a diploma.
Experience in security or related fields and customer service is preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid PA or NJ Driver’s License with a good driving record. Must obey all motor vehicle laws while operating hospital vehicles.
