Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part-Time Unarmed Perimeter Patrol in Champaign, IL. The role offers flexible, reliable hours with the ability to pick up additional shifts via our scheduling platform.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.
• A drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store personnel per security procedures and emergency response as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the retail location, including floors, entrances/exits, parking areas and perimeter.
• Respond to incidents calmly and communicate observations to supervisors.
• Monitor for unusual activity and policy violations to deter theft.
• Complete activity reports and maintain clear communication with site leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Perimeter Patrol in Champaign, IL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter areas, as assigned.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and potential loss-prevention concerns, helping to deter theft and unauthorized activity through a professional presence.
• Complete required activity reports and maintain clear communication with site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
