Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Security Screening in West Palm Beach, FL. The role involves serving at a government location, performing X-ray screening and access-control procedures to maintain a secure environment while delivering customer service to visitors and staff.

You will verify IDs, manage entry records, respond calmly to incidents, and follow post orders. Requires 3+ years security or a degree, guard card, and background check; background/drug screening are standard.

Qualifications

• At least three years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or 5 years of security-related experience or a college degree in criminal justice.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Guard card is required.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and law enforcement personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Screen visitors, packages, and personal property in accordance with established government facility procedures and applicable post orders.
• Verify identification, manage visitor entry records, and direct individuals to appropriate check-in locations or offices.
• Respond to incidents, prohibited-item findings, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as directed.
• Maintain awareness of activity at screening points and report unusual, suspicious, or unauthorized activity according to site procedures.

What You'll Do:
