Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer in Boston, MA. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, provide outstanding customer service to employees and guests, and deter security incidents while maintaining a visible, professional presence.

This role offers flexible weekend scheduling (Saturday and Sunday shifts) with $24.00 per hour, plus opportunities to grow through our Smart Tools, training programs, and exclusive perks.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a transportation and ship repair location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of docks, repair areas, access points, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation.
• Communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership in a timely manner.
