Security Officer - Security - Night Shift Including Holidays and Rotating Weekends

Join the Security Team at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, a 591-bed hospital affiliated with Weill Cornell Medical College, dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care. This full-time night shift position runs from 11:00pm to 7:00am, including holidays and rotating weekends, at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

Responsibilities

1. Provide a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
2. Perform all duties consistent with the hospital’s commitment to quality healthcare in a humane manner.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of security experience in a hospital or related medical setting.
• Valid driver’s license.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of 8 & 16 Hour Security Courses.
• NYS Security License.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 90 days of employment, with renewal every two years.
• Effective communication skills with all levels of staff and visitors.
• Clear handwriting and basic computer literacy.
