• Background check and drug screen required by policy.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify credentials and report concerns.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and shift reports; communicate information to leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Security Clearance Perimeter Patrol in Mc Lean, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while contributing to a caring, collaborative culture built on agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity at Allied Universal.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report access-control concerns or unusual conditions.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and shift reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
