Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Arlington, VA. You will provide customer service, monitor access, and patrol the facility to deter incidents while delivering professional service to employees and visitors.

Minimum requirements include at least one year in security, an active DoD Secret Clearance, and a high school diploma. This role offers part-time hours, weekend shifts, and the chance to join a nationwide team focused on safety and integrity.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of security-related experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted as per law.
• Drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter to identify conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to designated areas and verify credentials as directed.
• Respond to incidents calmly and according to site procedures.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $25.12 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sat 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM; Sun 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as directed, and maintain awareness of visitor and contractor activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• An active Department of Defense Secret Clearance is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
