Job summary

Allied Universal in Arlington, VA is seeking a Security Officer to protect and serve a aerospace/defense location. You will patrol, monitor access, deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service while following site procedures.

This full-time role requires at least 2 years in security, an active DoD Secret Clearance, and a high school diploma. CPR and access-control experience are a plus, and a valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.

As a Security Officer in ARLINGTON, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help deter security‑related incidents, manage access control and badge activities, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at an aerospace and defense administrative location while following site‑specific security‑related procedures and access requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, building exteriors, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and/or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, delivery, and contractor activity in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrol findings, incidents, and other security‑related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
