Qualifications

• At least 1 year security-related experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR/First Aid certifications preferred.
• Guard Card or license preferred.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner following reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking locations, and perimeter to identify irregular activity or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, reporting access-control concerns to site contacts.
• Complete accurate activity logs and incident reports per site requirements.

As a Security Officer in Chantilly, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $24.64 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, controlled areas, parking locations, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report access‑control concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
