Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Chantilly, VA. This role offers a flexible schedule with a fixed anchor shift and opportunities to earn more by taking extra shifts through our platform.

The position requires at least two years of security experience, an armed guard license, and Virginia DCJS credentials. CPR/First Aid is preferred, with a 21+ age requirement and background/drug screenings as part of employment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security procedures and location policies.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations calmly following healthcare facility protocols.
• Conduct regular armed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, entrances and perimeter to deter incidents.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening and direction of individuals.
• Document incidents and communicate relevant information to leadership and emergency responders.

Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Field Response in Chantilly, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.88 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Tue 08:00 AM - 08:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established healthcare facility protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, access control, and direction of individuals to appropriate areas of the location.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a DCJS license in Virginia.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
