You will monitor CCTV, access control, and dispatch systems while maintaining a safe environment. This hourly, seasonal role requires responding to security-related calls, documenting incidents, patrolling property, and coordinating with emergency responders as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV, access control, and dispatch systems to identify and respond to security concerns.
• Patrol parking lots, building exteriors, and company property to monitor activity and enforce policies.
• Monitor employee, visitor, and vehicle traffic entering and exiting the facility.
• Prepare accurate incident summaries, reports, and documentation using company systems.
• Respond to calls for assistance from departments and investigate incidents.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies, coordinating with responders.
• Provide First Aid and CPR when trained; assist paramedics as needed.
• Help protect property, employees, visitors, and assets through proactive observation and response.
• Work with HR and Legal to enforce company policies.

• One to two years of recent security, public safety, military, law enforcement, loss prevention, or related experience preferred.
• Demonstrated reading comprehension and report-writing skills.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and other Microsoft Office applications.

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (35 hours per week).
• Ability to work additional hours if business needs require.

• Must comply with all company attendance, safety, and security standards.

Job Summary

The Seasonal Security Officer is responsible for helping protect 1-800-Flowers.com, Inc. employees, visitors, facilities, and company assets by monitoring CCTV, access control, and dispatch systems while maintaining a safe and secure environment throughout the campus.

This position responds to security-related calls, documents incidents involving employees and company assets, monitors pedestrian and vehicle traffic, conducts routine patrols, and assists during emergency situations. The Seasonal Security Officer works closely with Human Resources and Legal to support and enforce company policies and procedures throughout the seasonal assignment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to burglary alarms, fire alarms, and other emergency situations while coordinating with emergency responders.
• Provide First Aid and CPR during medical emergencies when trained and assist paramedics as needed.
• Help protect company property, employees, visitors, and assets through proactive observation and response.
• Work collaboratively with Human Resources and Legal to support and enforce company policies and procedures.
