Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Screening in Ventura, CA. You will safeguard clients by screening people, packages, and materials, monitoring access points, and reporting security concerns.

This full-time role offers a pay rate of $19.35 per hour, with evening shifts and opportunities for growth within a team that values integrity and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• Background check and drug screen required by employment.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures and access-control requirements.
• Screen packages, shipments, and/or individuals according to site procedures and screening requirements.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials or delivery documentation, and report irregularities to site leadership or appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and with problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution facility, loading areas, parking locations, and perimeter, documenting observations and reporting concerns.

As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening people, packages, and/or materials, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. • Tue: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Wed: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Thur: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Sat: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Sun: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen packages, shipments, and/or individuals in accordance with established site procedures and applicable screening requirements.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials or delivery documentation as directed, and report irregularities to site leadership or appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution facility, loading areas, parking locations, and perimeter, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
