Job summary

Allied Universal in Ontario, CA is hiring a Security Officer Screener to protect clients at a logistics and distribution site. You will screen personnel, visitors, and items, maintain a visible, professional presence, and report security concerns to site contacts.

This full-time position offers a pay rate of $21.89 per hour and a schedule including DayTime shifts; a valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals, packages, and property entering or leaving designated areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry credentials to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including facility access points, loading areas, and the perimeter.

What You'll Do:
