As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening in Fall River, MA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.44 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time: Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works

Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Screen individuals and their belongings in accordance with site procedures, using assigned screening equipment and following escalation protocols for prohibited or suspicious items.
• Verify credentials, visitor authorization, and delivery documentation before permitting entry to controlled areas, and maintain accurate screening-related records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and surrounding perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
