Job description

Overview

The Security Officer’s main function is to provide a friendly and safe environment for guests and team members while protecting company assets.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Requirements Include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the safety and welfare of all guests and employees.
  • Responsible for maintaining order and keeping the peace on the property.
  • Perform area-based security patrols in assigned areas throughout the property.
  • Deliver positive, courteous, and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors, and employees.
  • Exercise good judgment in solving problems and resolving guest issues.
  • Provide medical assistance, including First Aid and CPR, when necessary.
  • Uphold and enforce gaming regulations, company policies, procedures, and all applicable laws.
  • Read, interpret, and analyze security reports and other documents daily.
  • Conduct investigations into incidents and create detailed reports, as required by location.
  • Monitor incidents resulting in loss and investigate to determine the source.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, to meet operational needs.
  • Maintain professional conduct, sound judgment, integrity, and a strong work ethic.
  • This position requires standing or walking for extended periods.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisors/Managers.
  • Perform legal detainments when legally authorized, based on location.
  • Verify that casino guests are of legal age before entering gaming areas, when required.
  • Must be able to lift and carry at least 25 pounds.
Qualifications
  • One year or more of law enforcement or security experience (preferred).
  • American Red Cross or equivalent First Aid/CPR certification, or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Ability to obtain necessary gaming licenses.
  • Team player with a guest-first attitude.
