Job summary

Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, MT seeks an EMT/Safety & Security Officer to patrol SPHHC properties, support patients and staff, and respond to incidents 24/7 from a central Safety Management Department.

Position requires multiple licenses (BLS, EMT, security) and a certification in aggressive behavior. Per-Diem schedule with on-site work, offering Providence benefits and a path to growth within a large health system.

Qualifications

• Must have BLS from American Heart Association at hire.
• Montana PSP Security Guard License within 60 days.
• Montana EMT License within 1 year.
• Management of Aggressive Behavior Certification within 6 months.
• Prior typing/keyboard experience for data entry.

Description

The Safety Management Department is a centralized location for managing a wide variety of programs that provide for the safety and security of St. Patrick Hospital & Health Sciences Center's (SPHHC) patients, visitors, employees and property. Members of the Safety Management Department are responsible for patrolling over 2.2 million square feet of SPHHC property on two separate campuses. The EMT/Safety & Security Officer is the core of the Safety Management Department and has four primary areas of responsibility and multiple collateral responsibilities. Each Officer serves as a valuable resource to SPHHC employees 24/7.

Required Qualifications:

• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Within 60 days of hire Montana PSP Security Guard License - Montana Board of Private Security
• Within 1 year of hire Montana Emergency Medical Technician License
• Within 6 months (180 days) of hire Management of Aggressive Behavior Certification
• Prior typing/keyboard experience required to enter and retrieve data in an accurate and timely manner.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's degree
• 2 years of experience military, law enforcement or private security.
