Ochsner Health is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of patients, guests, and employees. This role involves enforcing policies, conducting inspections, and responding to incidents within a healthcare environment. Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma, relevant experience, and necessary certifications.

This job provides security for patients, guests, and employees as assigned, enforces company policies and procedures, and performs assigned duties that ensure the security of patients, guests, and employees in a courteous and professional manner.
Education
Required - High School diploma or equivalent
Work Experience
Required - 1 year of experience in Security, law enforcement, or military
Certifications
Required - Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
Valid driver’s license in the state of practice and a clean DMV report
Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI), and firearms training
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

Physical and Environmental Demands
Medium Work - Exerting 20-50 pounds occasionally, 10-25 pounds frequently, and greater than negligible up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Requires walking or standing significantly and working at a pace that may be physically demanding. Exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues is normal, with potential exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous waste within a healthcare setting.
