Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Ontario, CA to provide unarmed patrols, exceptional customer service, and incident reporting. You will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and respond to incidents per site procedures while maintaining a visible presence to deter issues.

This position offers flexible weekend shifts and opportunities to progress within a leading security company.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required prior to employment.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and escalate per site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of interior/exterior areas and report unusual activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor/employee activity per site procedures.
• Complete accurate activity reports and shift communications using required tools.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, business areas, and perimeter points to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications using required reporting tools.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
