Job Description

1. Protects property and persons on hospital premises by patrolling buildings and grounds to prevent fire, theft, and vandalism. Staffs parking lot booth on a rotating basis.

Qualifications:

• Patrols hospital buildings and grounds, including off-site properties, to prevent fires, theft, and vandalism. Inspects doors, windows, and locks to ensure security.
• Ensures only authorized personnel are admitted onto hospital premises.
• Locks and unlocks hospital doors in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintains current information in lost and found logs; notifies individuals when lost items are located.
• Participates as a member of the Fire Control Team and responds to "Code Red" alerts.
• Responds appropriately to all Shore Health System codes.
• Investigates reported incidents of unusual circumstances, writes incident reports, and documents investigatory steps and results.
